Description
somewhere in time back end of 2011, ziga (~cmrlj, the previous !KorpiHunaja) asked for a collaboration to do another trilingual haiku zine. after many exchange of e-mails, i managed to finish the japanese translation for his slovene haiku and because the image in my mind are so captivating, i told him i'll do ink painting to illustrate for the cover of this mini zine.
here, see what i have done: not one but two paintings. one for the beginning, a black-and-white version of river drava in winter and another for the end, a color version of the same river in spring.
the theme of this zine is winter and all six haiku are ziga's work. i worked on their translation and the paintings, and contributed to the cyber version some commentaries.
a hard copy of the minimalistic version of ziga's original zine is available if you are interested in savoring the haiku as it is.
minimalism is good, especially for haiku.
